Kabelo Sekele is an International Relations and Politics Science Scholar by qualification, but a Cyber Technology entrepreneur and strategic corporate communications animal by design.
Kabelo is obsessed and driven towards creating mutually beneficial linkages between the Private and Public sector and considers himself a growing advocate of PPP in principle and crucially in practice.
Kabelo’s objectives primarily rest on four foundational pillars which he consciously practices in his personal and work life namely Uncompromising Integrity, Humility, Obsessive Work Ethic and Collaboration.
Experience:
Kabelo has honed his strategic corporate communications, solution selling & New Business Development skills at some of Africa’s and South Africa’s leading telecommunications, IT Services, Web services and 3rd Party Claims administration firms at both a strategic Management and leadership level.
• Kabelo has been fortunate to serve as chairperson of the JSE Listed Blue Label Telecoms Employment Equity committee whilst also serving on its transformation committee.
• Kabelo has also had the the privilege of serving as the Head of New business development and served as an executive director at Crawford and Company SA, a division of the world’s largest Risk and loss adjusting firm Crawford and Company International.
• Kabelo has also taken up roles as a senior Associate Client and Multi-stakeholder Manager at Dimension Data & EOH respectfully.
• Kabelo serves as a Non-Executive Director at Elenjical Solutions a leading Niche Fintech Consulting Firm Headquarted out of SA providing Capital Markets consulting, advisory and pre and post implementation services to some of Africa’s leading financial institutions I.e. MMI, Sanlam, RMB.
• Kabelo currently occupies the role of Executive Director Strategy & New Business Development and Partnerships at Phakamo Tech a cyber-risk practice based and headquartered out of Johannesburg.
He has been in project lead for companies and organizations, such as the Bagatlabagafela Royal tribe, Telkom SA Ltd, ACSA, National Treasury, Transnet, Road Accident Fund, Department of Environmental Affairs, National Department of Health, IthubaLottery, SANBS, Tiger Brands, Bidvest, National Credit Regulator and Crawford and Rand Water.
