Dr. Shay Ganesh is the Executive of Managed Healthcare and Chief Medical Officer at PPS, specializing in health risk management with a focus on integrated wellness across the continuum of care. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Ganesh is a recognized thought leader in the health and life insurance industry, renowned for her expertise in clinical governance, digital health solutions, integrated incentivized wellness, value-based care delivery models, and primary healthcare.
Before joining PPS, Dr. Shay held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Momentum and served as a Health Risk Management Specialist at Aditya Birla Health Insurance in India. Her diverse experience has enabled her to make significant contributions both locally and internationally, particularly in shaping corporate, employee, and retail group healthcare value propositions. Dr. Shay’s work includes developing healthcare solutions that range from rural outreach programs to VIP executive wellness offerings, all designed to deliver integrated, value-based care through innovative product solutions.
Dr. Ganesh’s academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a Medical Doctorate, an MBA, a PhD in Public Management and Economics, and a Doctorate in Management Studies. Her extensive training spans Clinical Trials Management, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Ethics, Healthcare Insurance, and Digital Health. She has also earned a diploma in Advanced Health Management from Yale University’s School of Public Health.
A prominent figure in healthcare discussions, Dr. Shay is actively involved in industry forums, frequently speaking on the role of Health Technology Assessments (HTAs) in generating real-world evidence to improve healthcare access and affordability, particularly within primary healthcare.
Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Shay contributes to the broader healthcare ecosystem as a board and committee member for several organizations. She is a member of ISPOR’s Oncology Special Interest Group and serves on the Health Insurance Consultative Committee of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
