Dr. Rajeev Rao Eashwari

Dr. Rajeev Rao Eashwari is a physician, health informatician, and digital health leader with over 45 years of healthcare experience across India and South Africa. He currently serves as President of the South African Health Informatics Association (SAHIA), Chair of the Pan African Telehealth Network, and General Secretary (Elect) of HELINA 2026.

He has held senior leadership roles in the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal Departments of Health, leading major digital health, telemedicine, and Electronic Health Record initiatives. Dr. Eashwari is widely recognized for his contributions to eHealth innovation, population health management, and AI-enabled healthcare transformation in Africa, with a strong focus on Universal Health Coverage and patient-centered care.
