Experienced Director in Human Capital & Talent Development, HR Planning & Strategic Information Management with a demonstrated history of working in the private sector and government corporate management administration industries. Highly skilled in Talent Development, Coaching and Mentoring, Management & Leadership Development, Business Process Re-engineering, Automation, Change Management & Organisational Development, Performance Management & Skills Development, Corporate Services Management, Auditing, Cross-country Service Delivery Management, Cultural Change Agent and Strategic Planning.

Angie Ontong, the director of HR development at the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti). She joined the dti in 2014, before which she worked at the South Africa National Treasury as director from 2012 to 2014, and as HR development specialist from 2010 to 2012.

Prior to this, she served in various roles at Old Mutual Group, First National Bank Home Loans, Damelin Academy of Banking, Financial Services College, Barclays Bank, Stanbic, and Standard Bank South Africa.

Angie holds, an MBA from MANCOSA, a BCom in Banking Management from Oxford University, and is currently studying a PhD in Human Capital Development Management from the University of Johannesburg
