Adesoji (Soji) leads FinTech and Banks investment banking origination across Africa for Absa Group. Based in London, he brings over 17 years of experience spanning investment banking, equity research, and venture investments, with a strong focus on financial institutions and technology.

A seasoned intrapreneur, he has successfully built and led high-performing teams, developed and executed fintech investment banking strategies for two multinational banks in emerging markets. He has advised on landmark transactions – including the largest-ever fintech IPO in Africa and Egypt, where he led the global investor education and valuation. A strategic advisor to CEOs, boards, and investors, he frequently helps them navigate the themes shaping the ever-changing landscape of financial services and technology.

Soji holds a first-class degree in Economics and earned his MBA from London Business School as a Mo Ibrahim Scholar – a full tuition award recognizing outstanding African talent. While at LBS, he won the school’s stock pitch competition and received the prestigious ‘Silver Bull’ award for excellence in Value Investing. He is also a three-time recipient of the Financial Mail Top Analyst in Africa (ex-SA) award.
