Rubrik Go: a flexible IT offering during uncertain business times

JOHANNESBURG – August 11, 2020 – “The measure of intelligence is the ability to change,” said the renowned genius and theoretical physicist, Albert Einstein, and cloud data management company Rubrik is taking this to heart in its latest offering, which delivers flexibility at its core.

Rubrik is distributed throughout Africa by value added distributor, Networks Unlimited Africa. Rubrik Go, the company’s new subscription purchasing programme, applies a Software as a Service (SaaS) model and enables customers to enjoy future innovation through one simple and predictable subscription licence.

“In these current uncertain times brought about by the global COVID-19 lockdown situation, the ability for customers to have flexibility with their IT arrangements is extremely useful,” comments Risna Steenkamp, General Manager: ESM Division at Networks Unlimited Africa. “Very simply, this offering allows customers to enjoy future innovation through one subscription licence. Customers can avoid rigid licensing conditions and unexpected price hikes, while scaling their environment in a manner best suited to both the current and future conditions.

“Rubrik Go customers can access the latest data management technology through free evergreen refreshes, streamlined software editions, and the flexibility to migrate data to the public cloud at any time with no additional costs.

Rubrik, which simplifies backup and recovery for hybrid cloud environments, offers a single platform that manages all data in the cloud, at the edge, or on-prem for backup, disaster recovery, archival, compliance, analytics, and copy data management. It currently boasts a customer base of over 3000 enterprise and government customers.

Rubrik Go benefits include:

  • Automatic access to new technology: Customers receive the latest technology updates so that they can continue to innovate and stay one step ahead of their competition.
  • Future-proof for cloud: Go customers can migrate to the cloud at any time during their subscription term. Go includes cloud native protection at no additional cost.
  • Lower upfront costs: Rubrik Go transforms large upfront capital expenditures into predictable subscription payments to help customers meet and exceed budget requirements.

“Rubrik Go allows customers to migrate their licences to the cloud any time and also refresh to Rubrik’s next generation appliances at no additional cost. In these current times, it is a praiseworthy goodwill gesture as companies around the world strive to keep their data safe and their systems up and running,” concludes Steenkamp.
