Shiraz Dadar, from Nairobi, Kenya, is an ICT and Health Informatics professional with over 19 years of experience in innovating, implementing, and supporting technology transformations across the hospitality sector, an NGO, and for the last decade, in the healthcare sector.

He began his career as an end-user support technician and over the years, worked his way up to designing and implementing enterprise solutions for large organizations across different regions in Eastern Africa and the Middle East. Currently, he manages the entire ICT department of a top-tier private hospital in Nairobi, Kenya, which he set up from scratch over a decade ago. This department serves several functions for the hospital, including health informatics, data analysis, and serving as an advisor to the hospital’s board of governors.

Shiraz is a certified Health Informatics practitioner from Johns Hopkins, practices advanced analytics using Advanced Excel, is a seasoned project manager (PRINCE2 Certified), and is currently pursuing a master’s in Artificial Intelligence from the International University of Applied Sciences, GmbH. He is also the proud winner of the 2021 CIO Africa award in Healthcare.
