Dr. Rens, leading expert on legal issues of the IoT gives an overview of the legal issues affecting the IoT from product liability to cybersecurity to data privacy, and how these issues can be managed. Dr. Andrew Rens is the founder of Tequity an innovative tech law and policy consultancy. Dr. Rens earned a doctorate from Duke University and has taught at Duke, UCT and the University of the Witwatersrand. Dr. Rens draws on decades of experience as a legal practitioner and policy expert to provide forward looking strategic advise on emerging technology issues including IoT, AI and 4IR. Dr. Rens published an analysis of IoT legal issues in the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology.
