Chipo is the Executive for Emerging Innovation at Nedbank. She has more than ten years’ experience in the technology and financial services sector, having previously served as Head of Alpha Code at the Rand Merchant Investment Holdings fintech innovation centre and the first fintech community of the African continent. Through this community Chipo formed part of an entrepreneurial team the defined the fintech landscape in South Africa trailblazing the emergence of next generation financial services businesses. Before that, as General Manager and Management Consultant for DOTNXT and Fever Tree Consulting respectively working extensively across the African continent.

As an established trailblazer in technology and leadership, Chipo has launched notable innovations in Africa such as the first SoftPos solution know as Nedbank Tap on Phone, enlisting South Africa as part of a global pilot program. Other solutions in the market include an in-chat payment solution known as Money Message and others such as ShiftPos just to mention a few. She leads enterprise-wide initiatives within the organisation and contributes to the broader development of industry initiatives shaping the financial services landscape in the country.
