MTN and RIM launch Prepaid BlackBerry Solution in South Africa

South Africa and Waterloo, ON – MTN and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced the availability of prepaid BlackBerry® service plan for MTN customers in South Africa. MTN prepaid customers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of using a BlackBerry® smartphone to stay connected to people and information on the go.

The Prepaid BlackBerry® Internet Bundle service plan from MTN includes unlimited data usage for mobile email for up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts, attachment viewing, Internet browsing, social networking, instant messaging and other mobile data applications for as little as R59.00 for a period of 30 days.

The Prepaid BlackBerry service plan from MTN provide customers with a flexible payment solution to suit their individual needs.

- By dialling *141*11# followed by 1#, a customer will be able to activate the Prepaid BlackBerry Internet Bundle service plan on their account.

- By dialling *141*11# followed by a 2#, a customer will be able to deactivate the Prepaid BlackBerry Internet Bundle service plan on their account.

- By dialling *141*11# followed by 3#, a customer will be able to check the renewal date of the Prepaid BlackBerry Internet Bundle service plan on their account. .
