MTN and RIM launch Prepaid BlackBerry Solution in South Africa South Africa and Waterloo, ON – MTN and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced the availability of prepaid BlackBerry® service plan for MTN customers in South Africa. MTN prepaid customers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of using a BlackBerry® smartphone to stay connected to people and information on the go.
The Prepaid BlackBerry® Internet Bundle service plan from MTN includes unlimited data usage for mobile email for up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts, attachment viewing, Internet browsing, social networking, instant messaging and other mobile data applications for as little as R59.00 for a period of 30 days. “We are proud to partner with RIM to offer our customers the option of prepaid BlackBerry service plan,” says Serame Taukobong, chief marketing officer of MTN SA. “This summer, MTN is bringing the true spirit of ‘Ayoba-ness’ to all our loyal customers.
